Job summary

Sedgwick County Aging & Disabilities is seeking a part-time van driver to provide ramp and/or lift-enabled passenger transportation in a safe, timely, and professional manner. The role includes transporting passengers, complying with DOT/FTA regulations, and performing vehicle inspections.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, two years of commercial driving, a valid Kansas license, and a DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years' commercial driving experience or equivalent.
• Valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions.
• DOT medical card required to drive a commercial vehicle.
• Experience using navigation equipment (GPS) in automobiles.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers safely from origin to destination.
• Drive specialized vehicles and comply with DOT/FTA regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain records.
• Secure mobility devices and medical equipment during transport.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
