Job summary

CDM Smith in Virginia is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Transit Services to lead multi-disciplinary teams on bus, rail and facilities projects for major transit clients in the DMV region.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of related experience, PMI/PMP or CCM/DBIA certification within 12 months, and proven ability to manage scopes, schedules and budgets while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Bachelor's Degree is required; 10 years of related experience preferred.
• Certification within 12 months (PMP/CCM/DBIA) is required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior project manager, deputy project manager, and major task lead on transit design projects.
• Collaborate with professionals across planning, civil, track, structures, systems, environmental and controls.
• Mentor staff and help expand the transit design practice in greater VA region.
• Lead development of project scopes, schedules and budgets, monitor performance.
• Perform Quality Control/Quality Assurance of key deliverables.
• Implement CDM Smith’s quality procedures throughout project lifecycle.
• Assist with marketing and business development to expand client base.
