Job summary

Luster National is seeking Resident Engineers at various experience levels to support large transit capital programs in the United States. You will manage contracts, coordinate inspections, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on corridors with stations, tunnels and guideways.

Ideal candidates have extensive project control, change management and field documentation experience, plus proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and the ability to manage large, complex transit projects.
• 10+ years in construction management, resident engineering, or inspection on major infrastructure.
• Experience administering field contracts, submittals, RFI, change management, progress payments.
• Primary contact for formal contract communications and field coordination.
• Experience with owner’s representation for transit or DOT agencies and project software.

Responsibilities

• Administer an assigned construction contract and enforce plans, specs and requirements.
• Coordinate inspection coverage across fronts and shifts and lead staff in discipline tasks.
• Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings and coordinate responses with teams and third parties.
• Review schedules and values, verify progress payments, and advise on approvals or withholdings.
• Analyze change requests and claims, and prepare independent cost and schedule assessments.
• Oversee QA activities, materials testing coordination, and nonconformance tracking.
