Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) seeks a Senior Process Improvement Engineer serving as an internal consultant to lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. You will structure complex problems, coach cross-functional teams, and advise senior leadership on operating-model designs, with strong data-driven insights guiding strategic decisions.

Location: New York, hybrid schedule; reports to the Lead Process Improvement Engineer, EPMO.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, transformation, business operations, or consulting.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
• Strong data-driven decision making.
• Advanced process mapping, workflow analysis, root cause analysis, and performance measurement.
• Ability to structure and define problems in ambiguous situations with no precedent.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive stakeholder management.
• Mentoring junior team members and providing technical leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Tableau/Power BI/SQL/Python or AI-enabled tools a plus.
• Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide process improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Structure ambiguous problems into clear, actionable plans.
• Advise leadership on the design of new operating models.
• Facilitate current-state assessments and future-state design sessions.
• Lead and mentor Process Engineers, Project Managers, Change Specialists, and Data Analysts.
• Analyze complex operational data and develop enterprise-level recommendations.
• Design tools and approaches for initiatives lacking established processes.
• Own project workstreams end-to-end, monitor progress, manage risk, and report results.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of new processes.
