Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) seeks a Senior Process Improvement Engineer serving as an internal consultant to lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. You will structure complex problems, coach cross-functional teams, and advise senior leadership on operating-model designs, with strong data-driven insights guiding strategic decisions.

Location: New York, hybrid schedule; reports to the Lead Process Improvement Engineer, EPMO.

Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, transformation, business operations, or consulting.
Experience advising senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
Strong data-driven decision making.
Advanced process mapping, workflow analysis, root cause analysis, and performance measurement.
Ability to structure and define problems in ambiguous situations with no precedent.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive stakeholder management.
Mentoring junior team members and providing technical leadership.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Tableau/Power BI/SQL/Python or AI-enabled tools a plus.
Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise-wide process improvement and transformation initiatives.
Structure ambiguous problems into clear, actionable plans.
Advise leadership on the design of new operating models.
Facilitate current-state assessments and future-state design sessions.
Lead and mentor Process Engineers, Project Managers, Change Specialists, and Data Analysts.
Analyze complex operational data and develop enterprise-level recommendations.
Design tools and approaches for initiatives lacking established processes.
Own project workstreams end-to-end, monitor progress, manage risk, and report results.
Lead change management to drive adoption of new processes.
