Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Washington, DC is seeking a Transactions Officer to lead Government Housing Programs within MHPI, managing deal structuring, risk assessment, and decision memos for senior government stakeholders.

This on-site role requires clearance eligibility, a finance background, and a proven record leading complex real estate transactions; you will coordinate with lenders, Military Departments, and Congressional staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field.
• 7+ years in real estate finance, P3/infrastructure, structured finance, or investment banking with leadership on deals.
• Hands-on restructuring, workout, or recapitalization experience.
• Development finance experience in ground-up or phased construction highly valued.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary deal teams and advisors.
• Strong written and verbal communication for senior government and institutional audiences.
• US citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the room: convene and run sessions with project owners, lenders, and the panel to frame issues and carry a position forward.
• Lead course-of-action development for transactions and drive them to a defensible recommendation.
• Build consensus across a multidisciplinary panel and document dissenting options.
• Serve as the single point of continuity for each transaction from intake through close.
• Support intake and baseline validation with the portfolio advisor and reconcile source documents.
• Direct the financial modeling team’s sensitivity, pricing, and scoring work.
• Contribute to independent downside and risk assessments of the proposed structure.
• Own the quality of the decision memo and briefing materials for senior leadership.
• Coordinate with Military Department counterparts and project owners, including Congressional notification.
• Capture precedents and lessons learned from closed transactions for reuse.
