Job summary

Qualifications

• Expertise in assisting attorneys through matters involving loans and loan documents including all phases of foreclosures, bankruptcy and litigation.
• Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse, high-volume caseload.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, confidentiality, and knowledge of civil procedure rules.
• Independent and team-oriented work capabilities.
• College degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality billable work product.
• Calculate and calendar court deadlines.
• Assist with bankruptcy and foreclosure pleadings, discovery and hearing preparation.
• Correspond with clients, creditors and other interested parties regarding case issues.
• Assist in preparation of quarterly fee applications.
• Assist with preparation of notices of sale, orders of default and mortgage claims.
• Manage and process liens related to legal or financial matters.
• Analyze corporate documents to determine jurisdictions for UCC-1 financing statements and liens.
• Record real estate lien documents and search property records for ownership and liens.
• Review loan transaction documents to determine collateral and file UCC liens.
