Job summary

Sorren is a premier advisory firm seeking a senior-level professional to lead financial due diligence, QOE analysis, and transaction advisory engagements in Oregon. You will manage engagements, review deliverables, and communicate findings to leadership and clients.

You will supervise associates, collaborate cross-functionally with tax, audit, and valuation teams, and contribute to business development while traveling as needed. A CPA is preferred and 5–8 years of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required.
  • CPA preferred; CFA or MBA viewed favorably.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in transaction advisory services, financial due diligence, QOE, public accounting advisory, investment banking, valuation, or related M&A services.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience managing engagement teams and reviewing work products.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, normalized EBITDA adjustments, working capital analysis, revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and transaction concepts.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience serving middle-market companies, private equity firms, lenders, or strategic buyers preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally based on client and transaction requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Engagement management & project execution for financial due diligence and QOE engagements.
  • Coordinate multiple engagements, manage timelines and budgets, and communicate with clients.
  • Review analyses, workpapers, and deliverables for accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify diligence issues, risks, and transaction considerations; report to leadership and clients.
  • Drive projects to timely completion while maintaining exceptional client service.
  • Perform and oversee detailed financial analyses for acquisitions and other transactions.
  • Analyze financial statements, revenue trends, expenses, payroll, and working capital.
  • Assess profitability, cash flow, and potential transaction risks.
  • Support buy-side, sell-side, lenders, and advisory engagements with rigorous analysis.
  • Prepare and review Quality of Earnings analyses and reports.
  • Quantify EBITDA adjustments and non-recurring items affecting enterprise value.
  • Analyze working capital trends, customer data, and key metrics.
  • Develop schedules and narratives communicating findings and impact on value.
  • Develop transaction-related analyses using Excel and data tools.
  • Lead client discussions and present findings clearly; collaborate across service lines.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor associates; assist with recruiting and training.
  • Support proposal development and business development activities.
