Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, seeks a Training Programs Architect to design and deliver multi-level training, develop tests and e‑learning materials, and align programs with modern learning theory. You will evaluate effectiveness, oversee external contractors if needed, and foster staff development for enhanced performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with several years of exempt experience or a Master’s with relevant experience, plus familiarity with Ship design tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of exempt experience or Master’s Degree and 4 years of exempt experience.
• Equivalents may include Apprentice School, NNPS, associate degree plus experience, or military/equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Designs and delivers training programs for all personnel levels.
• Develops tests, visual aids, and training criteria to evaluate effectiveness.
• Keeps up with learning theory and new training materials and methods.
• Develops in-house programs and identifies developmental needs for staff.

Bachelor's degree required

Master's degree beneficial

NNS Apprentice School graduate

NNPS graduate

Associate's degree + experience

Military paygrade E-5+

High School/GED + 4 years manufacturing/shipbuilding experience

High School/GED + 8 years manufacturing/shipbuilding experience
