Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Training and Development Specialist III in Terrell, TX. You will design, deliver, and coordinate education programs for hospital staff and manage records to ensure compliance and readiness across the facility.

You will lead curriculum updates, teach mandatory courses (CPR/TIPS), and collaborate with the Facility Competency and Training Department to improve staff competencies and patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or two years of professional teaching experience may substitute.
• Strong ability to deliver and coordinate training of staff.
• Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and coordinates core mandatory classes and local trainings for hospital staff.
• Maintains training rosters and ensures hospital compliance at 95%.
• Manages curriculum updates to reflect policy changes and accreditation standards.
• Utilizes PeopleSoft TIMS to track and report staff training records.
