Job summary

J.B. Hunt in Lithia Springs, GA is seeking a Sr Trailer Technician to perform complex maintenance, service, and repair of trailers, containers, chassis, and related equipment.

You will troubleshoot to meet JB Hunt specifications and coordinate with the team to ensure timely work orders. Responsibilities include advanced maintenance of air brake systems, safety compliance, and mentoring new technicians while handling shift tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with 3+ years of semi-trailer maintenance/repair experience or equivalent
• At least 1 year of DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes
• Able to supply basic tools or purchase via toolbox program

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of preventative maintenance and air brake systems per FHWA inspections
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and perform repairs to specifications, complete work orders and meet SRT/warranty guidelines
• Participate in OE training for OE repairs
• Follow all shop safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers
• Complete secondary maintenance on escalated repairs
• May troubleshoot/repair specialized trailer equipment, such as refrigerated units
• May onboard/mentor trainee technicians; coordinate shift tasks
