Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform essential maintenance and repair on trailers, containers, chassis, and related equipment.

Under supervision, you will help ensure equipment meets company standards and schedules. Key duties include preventive maintenance, basic repairs to air brake systems, and accurate work orders. You will follow SRT and warranty guidelines, maintain shop safety, and communicate professionally with staff and customers.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent
• Must supply your own basic tools or purchase through toolbox program
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventive maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections
• Accurately perform basic repairs up to company and manufacturer’s specifications, complete work orders and understand SRT and warranty guidelines
• Follow shop safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers
