Job summary

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate job assignments pertaining to installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signals.
  • Monitor the district traffic signal database and update system as required.
  • Make recommendations for improving and/or upgrading existing traffic signals and flashers.
  • Maintain records including expenses, signal installation reports, and preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports.
  • Provide in shop training on traffic signal software and related items.
  • Ensure an adequate stock of digital, electric, and electronic parts for repair.
  • Prepare employee performance evaluations, position descriptions, and daily HMMS time records.
  • Assist in repair of electronic equipment and respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma
Class A CDL within 6 months
