Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a qualified individual to install, repair, and maintain traffic signals and flashers across the district. You will monitor the signal database, update systems, and prepare maintenance reports while ensuring proper documentation and cost records.

Responsibilities include providing in-shop training on traffic signal software, maintaining an adequate parts stock, and responding promptly to routine complaints and after-hours emergencies with necessary repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2.5 years of related work experience required.
• CDL Class A required within 6 months of placement.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain traffic signals and flashers.
• Monitor district traffic signal database and update systems as required.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of expenses and maintenance.
• Provide in-shop training on traffic signal software and related items.
• Respond to complaints and after-hours emergency calls with prompt repairs.
• Assist in repair of electronic and related equipment as needed.
