Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Senior Traffic Project Manager to lead complex traffic engineering projects in the Pacific Northwest, based in Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR. The role focuses on technical leadership, client relationship development, and expanding our traffic practice across WA and OR.

You will manage projects end-to-end, mentor engineers, and help win new work while collaborating with a national traffic team across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer license in WA and OR required (6 months in role).
• 12+ years of progressive traffic engineering and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, analysis, and design of traffic engineering projects for local agencies, municipalities, and state DOT clients.
• Manage projects from proposal through design and construction, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
