Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Traffic Operator based in Newark, NJ. You will join our Mobility Operations Team and work with Port Authority staff, technicians, engineers, and law enforcement to manage multiple assignments and ensure safe, efficient movement around airport terminals.

Key responsibilities include monitoring traffic mitigation measures, coordinating with agencies such as NJ Turnpike and NJ Transit, completing SaabSafe modules, maintaining logs, and briefing the Project/Operations Manager

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of experience in traffic operations/traffic management.
• Background coordinating with operations staff, technicians, engineers, and law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor traffic mitigation measures at airport terminals.
• Observe congestion patterns and assess mitigation effectiveness.
• Coordinate with PAPD and Landside Operations.
• Complete SaabSafe Module and maintain logs.
• Coordinate with NJ Turnpike, NJ Transit, NJ State Police, NJDOT, TRANSCOM and other agencies during operations.
• Ensure contacts are in place and protocols followed during incidents; oversee shift continuity.
• Brief Project/Operations Manager daily on matters affecting EWR-AOC/PNEPAMT-POC.
