Job summary

WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Senior Technical Leader to oversee multi-phase transportation projects in New Jersey. This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in traffic engineering. The individual will provide technical support to NJDOT and lead projects from concept development through construction.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a Professional Engineer’s license, and experience with NJDOT design standards. Responsibilities include managing traffic projects, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and traffic design.
• Professional Engineer’s (P.E.) license required in New Jersey.
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of roadway transportation construction laws.
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight with collecting and analyzing data for projects.
• Lead traffic engineering scope for NJDOT/NJTA/New Jersey County projects.
• Manage design and construction of traffic projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on roadway projects.
• Mentor staff to support growth and development.
