Job summary

DRMP is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineering Project Manager, PE, to lead and grow its transportation engineering practice in Tysons, VA. You will oversee complex traffic studies, traffic impact analyses, and modeling from inception through completion.

The role combines technical leadership, project management, quality control, business development, and team development for both public- and private-sector clients. Travel is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience with public/private sector projects, ideally in A/E/C.
• Proven track record of completing traffic studies in the state.
• Existing contacts with private sector development clients.
• Willingness to travel to interface with clients.
• Professional Engineer licensure in the primary work state.
• Knowledge of technical analysis standards and practices.
• Strong knowledge of Synchro, SIDRA, and other applicable software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of traffic engineering studies and traffic impact analyses through project life cycle with quality control.
• Lead business development efforts across states to strengthen DRMP brand.
• Manage multiple traffic studies for private sector clients with technical QA on projects.
• Support marketing with project pursuits, technical presentations, and interviews.
• Track costs, schedules, and performance for assigned projects.
• Mentor and supervise Project Managers, engineers, and interns.
