Job summary

DRMP is expanding its transportation engineering services in the Mid-Atlantic region, including Virginia. As a Traffic Analysis Project Engineer in Tysons, you will perform engineering calculations, collaborate with PMs, coordinate with clients and agencies, and mentor junior staff.

The role emphasizes project scheduling, data accuracy, and effective communication. Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree with EI certification and 0–4 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and E.I. certificate in the state where work is primarily performed.
• 0–4 years of overall and progressively responsible experience in public/private sector projects.
• Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic and HCS.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Strong communication, organizational and writing skills for reports and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering calculations and analyses to complete assigned projects.
• Collaborates with Project Managers on projects and client interaction.
• Keeps Project Manager abreast of project and permitting progress.
• Schedules and documents project and team meetings as directed.
• Supports internal and external client/stakeholder communication.
• Assists in analyzing technical problems and improving project processes.
• Drives client and review agency coordination for small to mid-size transportation projects.
• Mentors new Associates in project work and DRMP standards.
• Ensures timely and accurate Vision submissions including time and project data.
