Job summary

The City of Shawnee is seeking a Traffic Engineer to develop, manage, and oversee the City’s traffic operations, review issues arising from new development, and act as the primary contact for residents on traffic concerns. Occasional presentations at City Council and other public meetings are required.

The role includes transportation planning, traffic oversight, contract administration, project management, development review, and active public interaction to ensure safe, efficient traffic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with course work in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience in project management, engineering design, traffic engineering, or traffic impact studies is preferred.
• FE or EIT certification, or the ability to obtain with 6 months of hire is preferred.
