Job summary

STV, Inc. in Texas seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer/Planner to lead high-impact transportation planning and traffic engineering across the DFW region. You will guide projects, mentor teams, and engage with clients including TxDOT and local agencies.

You will apply travel-demand models, GIS, and visualization tools to craft actionable recommendations and support strategic investment decisions. Leadership and collaboration are essential in this growing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 11+ years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, ITS/transportation technology, or related consulting work.
• Texas PE license.
• Experience leading corridor, transportation planning, traffic operations, safety, multimodal, or transit studies.
• Ability to apply travel demand models, GIS, and visualization tools to solve problems and support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead corridor, mobility, transportation master planning, traffic impact, safety, and multimodal studies for state, regional, and local clients.
• Use data, modeling, and visualization tools to help clients understand needs and evaluate alternatives.
• Develop travel demand models, forecasts, growth projections, and scenario analyses using VISUM, TransCAD, ArcGIS, and SQL datasets.
• Conduct traffic operations and safety analyses using HCM, HSM, Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA.
• Mentor junior staff and support proposal efforts.
