Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Staff Traffic Engineer in Florida to join a collaborative team. You will perform traffic & parking studies, transportation planning, event management studies, and traffic signal/roadway design on diverse projects across sports, healthcare, education, distribution, and commercial sectors.

You will lead analyses, coordinate field data, prepare reports with Synchro and HCS, and mentor staff while managing budgets and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering, traffic impact studies, parking studies, and related design.
• Current EIT licensure.
• PE license a plus.
• Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO, and MUTCD is required.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
• Ability to coach and assist with staff management.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects and budgets.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform planning and permitting of traffic/transportation engineering and land development projects.
• Conduct traffic analysis for traffic impact studies.
• Oversee field staff collecting traffic data.
• Prepare and review traffic/parking study reports.
• Use engineering software (SYNCHRO, HCS, etc.) to prepare documents.
• Prepare proposals and review invoices and budgets with the team.
• Lead the preparation and modification of engineering documents and designs.
• Coordinate field inspections as needed.
