Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Florida is seeking a Senior Staff Traffic Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team working on traffic and parking studies, transportation planning, and signal/roadway design.

The role involves coordinating projects, managing staff, and developing reports and budgets for a variety of market sectors including education, healthcare, and commercial developments. This is a full‑time, on‑site position offering extensive training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering, traffic impact studies, traffic signal warrants, parking studies, driveway & roadway design, and traffic signal design.
• Current EIT licensure; P.E. is a plus.
• Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO, and MUTCD.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
• Ability to coach and supervise staff; manage multiple clients and projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform planning and permitting of traffic/transportation engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct traffic analysis for traffic impact studies.
• Oversee field staff collecting traffic volume, road, and regulatory data.
• Prepare reports including traffic impact and parking studies; draft proposals and budgets.
• Lead preparation and modification of engineering documents and designs.
