Job summary

ISG in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation team. This in-office role supports collaboration, mentorship, and team connection across ISG offices.

You will lead traffic engineering projects for state departments of transportation, cities and private clients, including data collection, studies, design, and cost estimation while mentoring staff. ISG employee ownership culture encourages excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• PE licensed, required.
• PTOE certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect traffic data, perform intersection evaluations, complete traffic and corridor studies, and conduct analyses using simulation and modeling software.
• Lead projects in traffic related design including traffic signal and roundabout plans, roadway lighting plans, signing and striping plans, construction staging and traffic control plans.
• Prepare preliminary and final designs and develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Build and strengthen client relationships by actively listening and understanding their goals, priorities, and expectations.
• Act as a technical resource within the organization, providing expertise and guidance on transportation projects.
• Serve as a mentor and leader for local internal ISGers that demonstrates a high degree of professionalism.
• Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned to contribute to team and organizational success.
