Job summary

I & S Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer in Bloomington, MN to lead traffic engineering projects for state DOTs, cities, and private clients.

This in-office role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and cross-office coordination to deliver thoughtful land-use strategies and effective traffic solutions. Qualified candidates have 5+ years civil engineering experience, a Civil Eng degree, and a PE license; PTOE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• PE licensed is required.
• PTOE certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect traffic data, perform intersection evaluations, complete traffic and corridor studies, and conduct analyses using simulation and modeling software.
• Lead projects in traffic related design including traffic signal and roundabout plans, roadway lighting plans, signing and striping plans, construction staging and traffic control plans.
• Prepare preliminary and final designs and develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Build and strengthen client relationships by actively listening and understanding their goals, priorities, and expectations.
• Act as a technical resource within the organization, providing expertise and guidance on transportation projects.
• Serve as a mentor and leader for local internal ISGers that demonstrates a high degree of professionalism.
• Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned to contribute to team and organizational success.
