• Over four years of experience in Traffic/ITS design, highway geometric design, and traffic element coordination.

• Conduct traffic engineering design tasks including signal design, signing, striping, pavement marking plans, intersection and highway lighting, electrical plans, and ITS design.
• Prepare traffic detours, Transportation Management Plans, and Traffic Control Plans.
• Coordinate roadwork plans using Micro Station for highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects.
• Perform capacity analyses using HCM, HCS, Synchro, and SimTraffic.
• Assist in preparing PS&E and construction cost estimates.

• Experience working in New York with NYSDOT is preferred.
  
• Over four years of experience in Traffic/ITS design, highway geometric design, and traffic signal design, or a related engineering field.
  
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in NY or the ability to obtain it within one year of hiring is preferred.
  
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) is preferred.
  
• Experience in design, plan production, and coordination of traffic elements, including signing, striping, signalization is required, along with ITS and roadway lighting experience is preferred.
  
• Proficiency in MicroStation and Bentley In-roads is highly preferred.
  
• Familiarity with NYSDOT and PANYNJ standards and MUTCD and AASHTO guidelines is advantageous.
