Job summary

Fishbeck seeks a Traffic Engineer to join the Transportation team in Michigan. You will lead complex design projects from concept through construction, support client relationships, mentor junior staff, and help grow Fishbeck’s Michigan transportation practice.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years of traffic experience, and a Michigan PE license. Proficiency in MicroStation and knowledge of MDOT guidelines are needed; AutoCAD/Civil 3D is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of traffic engineering experience including MDOT projects.
• Michigan PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of traffic engineering components and plans.
• Ensure compliance with MDOT standards and guidelines.
• Conduct traffic impact and safety studies and forecasting.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality; mentor staff.
