The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop and build their personal knowledge and skills to assist with the growth and success of the office. The role will perform and be responsible for leading roadway design activities for a variety of state and municipal projects for streets/highways/freeways. Our ideal candidate will be capable of leading a design squad containing a range of experience levels by providing clear directions to other staff while performing and being responsible for a full range of professional roadway engineering assignments, including modeling, preparation of design calculations, plan production, quantities, cost estimates, reports, and quality control.
This person will be team‑oriented, self‑motivated, technically proficient, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. The position will entail a full range of professional roadway design activities, serving in a key technical role for the development of our projects and providing the framework for multidisciplinary teams to deliver our projects.
This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally, uses the advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
