Job summary

Econolite is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead planning, design, and optimization of traffic signal operations for intersections and corridors. You will support deployment of Centracs Mobility, develop timing strategies, and provide technical guidance to agency customers.

Ideal candidates blend deep traffic engineering expertise with strong communication skills to ensure project success, operational excellence, and long-term client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 8–15 years in traffic engineering or ITS.
• Experience deploying and validating signal timing plans for public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize traffic signal timing plans for intersections and corridors.
• Analyze operations using Centracs Mobility and other traffic tools.
• Lead and mentor project teams and coordinate with agencies.
• Prepare technical documentation and deliverables.
• Provide customer-facing support and training.
