Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to join a growing civil engineering firm in Newark, NJ. The role focuses on traffic analyses, roadway design, and DOT permitting, with client and project management responsibilities.

The candidate should hold a BS in Civil Engineering with 5–25 years of traffic/transportation experience and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation; PTOE is preferred and U.S. citizenship or a Green Card is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• 5–25 years of traffic/transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with NJDOT and county permitting.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.
• PTOE preferred.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare traffic impact studies and traffic analyses.
• Perform highway and geometric roadway design.
• Prepare DOT access permits, signage, and striping plans.
• Conduct parking studies and corridor studies.
• Design traffic signals and coordinate inspections.
• Manage projects, clients, budgets, and schedules.
