Job summary

Pennoni seeks a Graduate Traffic Engineer to join the Transportation Design Hub in our Newark, DE office. The role focuses on traffic analysis, design, and project coordination for state, county, and municipal clients.

Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering degree and up to 3 years of experience, with EIT a plus and familiarity with MicroStation/OpenRoads and traffic software. On-site position supporting design in the Mid-Atlantic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience; EIT a plus.
• Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads (ORD) and traffic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support development of traffic-related projects for state and local clients.
• Assist with traffic analysis, safety evaluations, and signal plans.
• Contribute to sign and pavement marking plans, TMPs, and lighting plans.
• Model transportation infrastructure using MicroStation/OpenRoads.
• Develop highway design, hydrology, drainage, SWM and ES&C layouts.
• Coordinate with utilities and clients across the Mid-Atlantic region.
