Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Sr Traffic Control Technician to lead day-to-day scheduling for telecommunications construction projects. You will manage flagger activities, oversee safety, and ensure timely execution of traffic control operations on site.

Ideal candidates have a valid flagger certification, five years of supervisory experience, and a solid understanding of MUTCD guidelines. A strong safety mindset and ability to coordinate teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Flagger Certification required.
• Knowledge of MUTCD guidelines and traffic control devices.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex construction/traffic control plans.
• Clean driving record with valid drivers license.
• 5 years of supervisory experience in traffic control or related field.
• Strong safety mindset and daily safety planning execution.

Responsibilities

• Place, remove, and repair traffic control devices.
• Coordinate and supervise traffic flaggers in construction areas.
• Manage time and administrative tasks for direct reports.
• Comply with safety standards and pre-task safety planning requirements.
• Inspect devices for functionality, safety, and compliance.
• Direct traffic using signs, signals, and verbal/written instructions.
• Maintain safe work zones and ensure equipment is in good order.
