Job summary

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager for Traffic Analysis and Planning in our Virginia Beach, VA office. The role focuses on managing projects, developing client relationships, and leading marketing efforts within the Traffic Analysis and Planning Group.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years of roadway design and traffic engineering experience, professional licensure, and a strong grasp of project accounting and multi-project coordination. VDOT/local projects in VA are a plus.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional licensure (P.E., PTOE, etc.) preferred.
• 8–10 years' experience in roadway design and traffic/transportation engineering.
• Experience with VDOT or local government projects in Virginia.
• Strong understanding of project accounting and multi-project management.
• Marketing and supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and client relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Lead marketing, business development, and scope/fee negotiations.
• Coordinate project staff and communicate with client and leadership teams.
• Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and quality of technical work.
