Responsibilities include conducting research on USMCA, HTS classifications, and country of origin, applying trade tech to analyze data, and supporting market development and thought leadership. Senior Associate adds leadership over junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of recent work experience in trade compliance with U.S. import/export rules and classification.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and country of origin considerations.
  • Experience with export controls (EAR/ITAR) and related compliance programs is preferred.
  • Ability to research, write, and review regulatory advice with practical solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with and provide advice to clients in the automotive industry on trade compliance matters.
  • Lead and manage client projects including audits, reviews, program development, and training.
  • Research, write, and review advice around USMCA, HTS classification, and country of origin.
  • Apply trade technology solutions to collect and analyze trade data.
  • Assist with supply chain traceability and determining customs duties.
  • Support market development and thought leadership initiatives including articles.
