Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Trade and Customs practice in New York. The role focuses on FTZ implementation, data validation, and client engagements across diverse industries.

Responsibilities include reviewing complex trade compliance tasks, supporting staff development in the delivery center, and guiding clients on CBP and PGA requirements for imports and exports within FTZ settings. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of recent import/export experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or a CPA, JD, LLM, Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) processes, compliance activities, and operations, including PGA reporting, as well as other import/export matters such as HTS, regulations, and entry processes.
• Experience with FTZ Inventory Control and Recording Systems and/or FTZ processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support managed service engagements on FTZ implementation and operations across industries.
• Provide quality review for basic to complex trade compliance tasks in the Trade & customs delivery center.
• Be a valued member of the FTZ service delivery team and assist in training delivery center staff.
• Support FTZ clients with validating data, implementing, testing, and using GTM solutions.
• Provide guidance to clients on requirements of U.S. CBP and PGA for import, entry and export transactions in FTZ environments.
• Assist in delivering multiple client engagements on time and within budget, maintaining client communication to manage expectations and satisfaction.
