A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Traction Power Engineer to lead the design of electrification infrastructure for rail transit systems. This role involves engineering design for traction power systems including substations and overhead contact systems. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Electrical Engineering, a Professional Engineer's license, and extensive experience in traction power substation design. Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience with 600, 750 and 1500Vdc traction power substation design.
• Professional Engineer's license is required.
• Experience with North American transit industry is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead a group of traction power engineers and electrical designers.
• Design traction power substations and system layouts.
• Coordinate with electric utility companies and systems engineers.
• Perform traction engineering studies including short circuit analysis.
• Develop specifications and cost estimates.
• Provide testing and commissioning support.
