Job summary

STV is seeking a Traction Power Engineer to join the Systems team in Bellevue, WA. You will support planning, design, analysis, and delivery of traction power systems for rail and transit projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, reliable power systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in traction power or rail systems and will work across design phases from conceptual to commissioning, interfacing with OCS, signals, and utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electrical engineering with traction power or rail systems.
• Ability to interpret single-line diagrams and construction documents.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Design traction power systems for rail/transit projects.
• Prepare calculations, specs, reports, and drawings.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and vendor data.
• Support construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate interfaces with OCS, signals, and utilities.
• Participate in design reviews and project meetings.
