Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced SRE and Observability Engineer in Washington, DC to apply SRE principles, reduce toil via automation, and implement robust monitoring across applications and infrastructure.

You will build dashboards, alerting, and service maps, support incident automation, and contribute to GenAI-enabled operations within CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments. This role emphasizes hands-on observability and proactive reliability engineering.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SRE and Observability Engineering roles.
• Experience in applying SRE principles and practices across operations, and reducing operational toil through automation using tools such as Ansible, Python, and RPA.
• Hands-on experience in implementing and managing observability solutions using Dynatrace (must-have), Grafana LGTM (must-have), BigPanda, and Nobl9.
• Working knowledge of incident management, automation scripting, and ITSM tools.
• Exposure to GenAI and agentic AI automation platforms such as Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, LangGraph, and CrewAI.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and cloud and infrastructure monitoring technologies.
• Implement and tune monitoring across Application Performance, Synthetic, Real User, Log, Infrastructure, Business Observability, SAP/native platform, and Batch monitoring, as applicable to assigned applications.
• Build/maintain dashboards, alerting, and service maps; support event correlation and incident automation.
• Support CI/CD pipeline operations and automation tooling as required.
• Contribute to development of automation frameworks and GenAI/agentic-AI use cases for ops.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
