Job summary

Rocket Lab Corporation, headquartered in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager I - FlatSatellite to lead high-volume satellite production, owning rate, yield, and unit cost from prototype maturity through full-rate production.

You will coordinate across manufacturing, supply chain, integration, and test, partnering with Chief Engineers to navigate trade-offs and ensure rapid, reliable delivery. This role includes equity and comprehensive benefits as part of total compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, math, science, or other technical discipline.
• Experience owning a technical program, product, or team end to end.
• Evidence moving hardware and software from prototype toward high-rate production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team taking satellites from concept through qualification, full-rate production and flight.
• Run multiple programs, make architectural calls with Chief Engineers, optimize for manufacturability and rate-readiness.
• Grow a culture of bold decision-making and develop future program leaders.
• Manage high-stakes subcontracts and suppliers as strategic partners.
• Synchronize cross-functional teams to clear roadblocks quickly and maintain speed and quality.
• Interface with constellation operators and coordinate proposals with BD & Strategy.
