Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager II for flat Satellite production. You will own rate, yield, unit cost, and strategic program decisions from prototype through full-rate production, leading a high-ownership team.

You will lead multiple programs, coordinate with Chief Engineers, design-for-manufacturing, and manage supply chain, line readiness, and speed without compromising quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 8+ years aerospace program management experience.
• Proven ownership of a technical program, product, or team end-to-end.
• Experience moving hardware and software from prototype to high-rate production with measurable gains.
• Knowledge of takt time, line-of-balance, DFx, and learning curves.
• Experience identifying tooling, supply-chain, or yield risks and mitigating them.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead satellites from concept through qualification, full-rate production, and flight; own the technical roadmap.
• Manage multiple active programs; coordinate with Chief Engineers; optimize design-for-manufacturing and rate-readiness.
• Foster a culture of bold, data-driven decision-making and develop future program leaders.
• Forge strategic supply chain relationships and protect schedule and margin.
• Unblock cross-functional teams across manufacturing, supply chain, integration, and test.
• Interface with constellation operators and collaborate on proposals and technical narratives.
