Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager in the US to lead complex, multi-disciplinary data center capacity planning initiatives. You will partner with Product Area Managers to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage schedules while communicating with executives and engineers alike.

The role focuses on optimizing data center capacity, cost efficiency, and alignment across geographies, with opportunities to influence capital funding and capacity expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of program management experience.
• Experience with data center capacity planning, network planning, or power planning.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure concepts and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Codify, maintain, and update technical and business requirements in partnership with PARMs to influence execution and capacity allocation decisions.
• Implement new data center power planning initiatives, including automation with engineering support and policy changes.
• Work with customers to manage and resolve data center capacity issues and escalations.
• Lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs spanning Google across end-to-end lifecycle.
• Provide clear, concise, actionable recommendations to partners and executives regarding data center capacity needs.
