Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead regulatory, safety, and road-readiness programs for its autonomous delivery vehicle initiative in Bellevue, WA. You will own the integrated program across engineering, safety, legal, and policy teams to safely develop, test, and deploy on public roads.

The role requires building cross-functional plans, managing external partners, and driving risk reduction with clear governance, readiness criteria, and leadership reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management with software engineering teams.
• Experience coordinating release schedules across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for functional safety, regulatory compliance, and public-road readiness across vehicle development, testing, and deployment.
• Coordinate hazard and risk assessments, safety requirements, and verification activities to support the safety case and compliance.
• Establish readiness criteria for vehicles, software releases, locations, and processes; coordinate testing and permits.
• Align engineering, safety, legal, policy, operations, and partners; manage shared plans and dependencies with external providers.
• Identify and close safety, regulatory, technical, and operational risks; establish governance for changes affecting safety and compliance.
• Provide senior leaders with readiness assessments, risk summaries, and scalable governance for expansion across platforms and jurisdictions.
