Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead regulatory, functional safety, compliance, and road-readiness programs for autonomous delivery vehicle initiatives. The role will own the integrated program to safely develop, test, and deploy autonomous vehicles on public roads, coordinating across vehicle engineering, autonomy software, systems engineering, legal, and operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory, Safety, and Compliance Program: Own the integrated roadmap for functional safety, regulatory compliance, and public-road readiness across vehicle development, testing, and deployment.
• Functional Safety and Technical Evidence: Coordinate hazard and risk assessments, safety requirements, verification and validation activities, and the technical evidence for the safety case.
• Road Readiness: Establish readiness criteria for vehicles, software releases, operating locations, and processes; coordinate testing, permits, and incident-response processes.
• Cross-Functional and Partner Execution: Align engineering, legal, regulatory, operations, and commercial teams; manage dependencies with autonomy providers and suppliers.
• Risk, Change, and Governance: Identify and drive closure of safety, regulatory, technical, and operational risks; establish governance for changes affecting safety and compliance.
• Program Reporting and Scalability: Provide readiness assessments, risk summaries, and scalable governance for expansion across platforms and jurisdictions.
