You should hold a J.D. and Illinois license, with at least three years of practice and one year in related tort areas. The role requires collaboration, leadership, and strict adherence to legal standards.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree and Illinois license to practice law required.
Minimum of three years as a practicing attorney, with at least one year in personal injury, subrogation, or property damage.
Must maintain continuing legal education credits.

Responsibilities

Plans, directs, and participates in litigation involving personal injury cases and other matters for the Authority.
Handles own caseload of personal injury cases and other matters.
Drafts opinions, briefs, pleadings, and motions for litigation and arbitrations.
Makes frequent court appearances for trials and depositions.
Gathers research, drafts pleadings and motions, and completes settlement agreements.
Works with senior attorneys in a second chair capacity on large personal injury cases.
Manages paralegals and support staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
