Job summary

ADM is seeking a Senior Counsel, Litigation to manage a broad docket of insured litigation, including premises liability and mass tort, from Decatur or Chicago, IL. You will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Litigation and drive strategy in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires Illinois bar admission and at least five years of litigation experience, with strong advocacy and collaboration skills to influence business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Illinois licensed attorney with at least five years’ litigation experience.
• Experience handling complex litigation and disputes, especially insured matters.
• Understanding of insurance coverage, reserving and reporting requirements.
• Strong advocacy, presentation, oral and written communication.
• Ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
• Capable of independent work with general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a significant litigation docket of active cases.
• Manage disputes proactively and mitigate risks for best outcomes.
• Select and manage outside counsel efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Report on litigation risk and reserves as part of financial disclosures.
• Collaborate with the Litigation & Regulatory Law team on best practices.
