Job summary

Cosma International is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to operate and set up a range of machine tools including Tig/Mig/Arc welders, lathes, and mills. You will verify dimensions and tolerances, troubleshoot on the shop floor, and maintain tooling quality to QS9000 standards.

The role requires a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship or equivalent training, plus 7+ years in assembly tooling and robot tooling, with strong metrology experience. Onsite work with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two years college or technical school or 5 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship program.
• Tool and Die Maker with related experience/familiar with assembly tooling work.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools (Tig/Mig/Arc Welders, lathes, milling machines).
• Verify conformance of machines or dies to specs by checking dimensions, clearances and alignments.
• Troubleshoot production problems.
• Set up appropriate tools in the department.
• Follow safe work practices and QS9000 standards.
• Maintain tooling quality standards and preventive/predictive maintenance.
