Job summary

Honda is seeking an experienced Equipment/Tooling Engineer to manage production tooling designs and improve line productivity and quality. You will collaborate with engineering, production and suppliers to deploy cutting tool solutions and support new model launches.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in engineering with 2–8 years in equipment engineering, and strong CAD skills (AutoCad, SolidWorks). The role involves 60% on the production floor, 40% in office, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical/electrical or related).
• 2–8 years of experience in equipment engineering.
• Proven ability to present concepts clearly and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead tool budget creation, control and analysis to optimize cutting tool costs.
• Troubleshoot tooling problems with engineering support to hit quality, cost and delivery goals.
• Develop and maintain tools, tool drawings and holders; support tool setup and regrind processes.
• Coordinate tool development for new models and capacity upgrades; participate in tool test runs.
