Job summary
Terumo Medical Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Tooling Engineer to lead design, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex tooling systems at the plant level. You will guide engineering and production teams in high-precision tool development, CNC programming, and automation integration.
Mentorship of junior toolmakers and driving continuous improvement are essential. The role requires expertise in dies, fixtures, and tooling, with strong CAD/CAM skills and regulatory awareness.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in tooling/engineering required.
- 6–10+ years in tool and die, machining, or manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex tooling design, fabrication, and optimization of dies, fixtures, and tooling.
- Oversee tooling integration with automated production equipment.
- Troubleshoot tooling problems affecting production, quality, and compliance.
- Develop and document tooling standards, procedures, and technical docs for plant use.
- Drive continuous improvement and tooling innovations to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Mentor Tool & Die staff and lead training of tooling skills.
