Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. seeks a Tool & Die Program Lead to manage all aspects of tooling, die sets, and maintenance for Fiberon extrusion. You’ll oversee tooling design reviews, safety, 5S, and readiness for scheduled production.

You will lead tooling staff, work with Engineering and Machine Shop, and ensure SOCs exist for extrusion processes while maintaining documentation and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and tooling certification valuable.
• 5–7 years’ experience with extrusion tools and processes.
• 2 years in a supervisory role; journeyman or equivalent tooling cert.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventative maintenance of Fiberon extrusion tool & die sets.
• Assist design reviews for new tooling requirements with Engineering.
• Oversee Safety & 5S in work areas and tooling design.
• Ensure tooling is prepared and ready for all production.
• Ensure each tool has an SOC for applicable extrusion processes.
• Assist Engineering and Machine Shop in tuning tool sets.
• Ensure associates work safely and follow company policies.
• Read and use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Supervise associates to ensure policy adherence and quality.
• Liaise with vendors and Purchasing for tooling needs.
