Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. seeks a hands-on manufacturing lead to coach and develop PE board staff and drive continuous improvement in plastics extrusion. You will balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale while updating SOPs and monitoring line performance.

You will partner with maintenance and engineering to resolve equipment issues, manage priorities, and support production targets in a 12-hour shift environment. A Lean background and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: high school or GED; associates preferred.
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience.
• 1–2 years plastics extrusion/manufacturing experience.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge (Kaizen, 5S) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides employee coaching and development to PE board staff; makes technical decisions.
• Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to drive results.
• Leads continuous improvement projects in manufacturing operations.
• Updates SOPs and line condition monitoring.
• Supports daily production targets and reports results.
• Supports facility safety systems and quality assurance.
• Leads department priorities on process controls and efficiency.
• Assists production manager with production control and performance management.
• Liaises with maintenance and engineering to fix equipment issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
