Job summary

Envista in Pomona, CA seeks a highly skilled Tool Maker IV to independently manufacture, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize high-precision molds, dies, tooling, fixtures, and components to tolerances as tight as ±0.0001 inches. Demonstrates advanced expertise in CNC machining, Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, CAD/CAM programming, precision measurement, mold design, and tool fabrication.

Candidate will interpret drawings, GD&T requirements, and 3D CAD models to fabricate components, program and optimize CNC

Qualifications

10+ years in precision tool making, mold or die making.
Extensive experience with CNC Sinker EDM, controllers and post-processors.
Proven ability to produce high-precision tooling within ±0.0001 in regulated environments.
Strong GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and precision manufacturing knowledge.
Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Manufacture, repair, modify, and maintain precision molds, tooling, dies, fixtures, and replacement parts.
Plan tooling projects to optimize quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Interpret drawings and GD&T to fabricate high-precision components.
Operate manual and CNC mills, grinders, lathes, Wire EDMs, and Sinker EDMs.
Develop CNC programs and post-processors to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Build and validate tooling assemblies to meet engineering specs.
Utilize CMMs and precision instruments to verify tolerances.
Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and risk mitigation.
Mentor less experienced machinists and drive continuous improvement.
